SUMMARY:50th French National Congress of Speleology
DESCRIPTION:The 50th French National Congress of Speleology will take place from 7th to 9th June 2025 in the Périgord region in the capital of french prehistory Les Eyzies in the Vézère valley\, Dordogne. \nThe French Federation of Speleology FFS will have its General Assembly and meetings of the various FFS commissions at he event. \nMore than 30 caves can be visited\, horizontal and vertical with or without underground rivers. And of course a visit to the caves and sites with prehistoric art are not be missed.  You can also visit the replica of the Lascaux cave with its museum.   \nAs part of the 50th National Speleology Congress\, the Departmental Speleology Committee of the Dordogne is planning a conference which will take place in the auditoriums of the National Museum of Prehistory and the Prehistory Interpretation Center in Les Eyzies. The theme of the conference will be:  The Economic Odyssey of Karst\, from Prehistory to the Present Day. \nThere will also be expositions\, the trade hall with a.o. equipment and books and of course animations and the speleo bar. \nThis will be a wonderful feast for many cavers\, just a stone’s throw from Lascaux and Sarlat. \nFor all information visit the website of the congress (in french): https://congres-ffs-leseyzies2025.fr/ . \nRegistrations to participate are already open at:  https://congres-ffs-leseyzies2025.fr/inscription-au-congres/
