SUMMARY:Complex Medical & Technical Cave Rescue Workshop by ECRA
DESCRIPTION:The European Cave Rescue Association ECRA announces the “Complex Medical & Technical Cave Rescue Workshop” from 5-10 May\, 2026\, Aggtelek\, Hungary. \nJoin us for a 4-day immersive\, scenario-based peer-to-peer workshop — not a traditional instructor-led course. We provide the framework\, realistic cave scenarios\, and environments; you bring your expertise\, share methods\, compare approaches\, and collaborate to refine best practices. Together\, we’ll develop and validate effective tactics for complex cave rescue situations. \nThe workshop features two parallel\, closely linked tracks: \n\nMedical Track: For cave rescue healthcare professionals (not a first aid course);\nTechnical Track: Open to\, deployment-ready cave rescuers (at various skill levels) capable of operating in 8-person field teams. In most exercises\, teams will function as integrated units (8 TECH + 2 MED) tackling small- to medium-scale rescue objectives.\n\nThis event is organized by the ECRA Medical Commission\, with support from the Technical Commission\, and hosted by the Hungarian Cave Rescue Service in the Aggtelek National Park. \nQuestions?
