Dear colleagues, friends and speleologists,
We are pleased to present to you the 1st Maghreb Congress of Speleology (1er Congrès Maghrébin de Spéléologie CMS) which will be held in Borj Cédria, Tunisia, from March 18 to 21, 2023.
The Maghreb are the countries of Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania and Tunisia.
The 1st Maghreb Congress of Speleology will be organized by the Tunis Speleology Association (AST) and Tunisian speleologists in partnership with the Higher Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (L’Institut Supérieur des Sciences et Technologies de l’Environnement) in Borj Cédria.
Our first meeting aspires to promote North African collaboration between the different speleological organizations. This first regional conference will bring together scientists specializing in karst, caves and their own phenomena that are associated with voluntary speleologists, quite often at the origin of discoveries and exploration of karst and caves.
Our objective is to highlight, present, share and discuss the results of surveys, explorations, discoveries and scientific studies and research by speleologists in the Maghreb.
For this, our Congress will be supported by conferences, oral communications, films, exhibition stands (posters, topographic models, speleophoto galleries, etc.) and various competitions. There is also a caving pre-camp and excursions.
We look forward to seeing you!
